Art Center Nabi presents forum 2008

The objective of the forum is to situate the new media space and experience of digital media from the aesthetic point of view. To achieve this, the forum sets a special setting of a simultaneous live broadcasting from Art Center Nabi on Secondlife Korea where it brings international experts together from the field of digital media theory as well as artists and practitioners who embrace elements of digital media and media arts in their work and research activities.

- Date: Sep. 25 ~ Oct. 30 / Every Thursday / 4pm ~ 7pm
- Four speakers will present for 30 minutes each followed by panel discussion for 50 minutes.

Warm invitation to COMO

COMO is an extended media platform located in Seoul SKT Tower and Daejeon SKT Building in Korea. Since December 2004, the LED display has been known as a unique multi-media installation which integrates art and architecture to create new convergence.

It is not only a typical urban screen blinking an impersonal message, but also a window being wildly opened to different art-works in public. Art center nabi has been shown various public art programs that are filled with interactive communication between the COMO and public.

COMO consists of four large LED screens; three at Seoul SKT Tower and another at Daejoen SKT building. Its contents change on monthly basis.

Art Center Nabi was established in December 2000 to lead the way towards the coexistence of humans and new media that is the centerpiece of art and culture in the 21st century.

Just like the metaphor of nabi , which is the Korean word for butterfly, Art Center Nabi provides exhibitions, support for creation, education, and research in new media art and technology. Art Center Nabi tries to devise new and effective ways to disseminate media arts to the public at large. Balancing creativity with critical perspectives, we seek to contribute to the humanity and diversity of techno-culture today.
